Calling all Scottish smallholders
« on: July 12, 2016, 11:28:40 pm »
Central Scotland Smallholders has had contact from Helen Mooney of the Rural Directorate, Land Reform and Tenancy Team, in Edinburgh

They want to get in touch with as many smallholders in Scotland as possible to discuss the following subjects amongst others.  If anyone would like to come to a meeting with Helen's team, please contact me to arrange it.  Rosemary and Dan have already been in touch with Helen and her colleagues, so Rosemary may have more information.

·         How small landholdings link with Agriculture overall
·         How they interface/connect with the local community around them
·         The level of niche production among small holders
·         Their views on issues that cause problems
·         Views on planning and how that works for small landholders

I've suggested Stirling as a fairly central meeting place
