 :goat:

Hello all!

Was wondering what fencing people have for BOER goats? I was thinking of getting a 3 or 4 and wanted to know if I can use an electric fence system?

Thanks!

Post and standard stock netting with electric strand on top and halfway up.  Electric tapes only can be used but needs very careful management to stop it earthing due to vegetation. My advice would be to stock fence perimeter and use tape to subdivide if need be. I keep boers and have do so for 8 years.  The top and middle electric strand stops them standing on the stock wire,

When you say tapes only can be used, do you mean that the orange electric twine stuff is no good? I've been advised that it's easier to use/move.

I have stock fencing, it's just to keep them off it.

I use stock fence and 1 strand of electric about 18 Inch high,  maybe 12 inch inside the stock fence, once touched they won't go near enough to think of jumping over.
