Hi Beth
We loved Meilkleour - it was just I'd filled up the space we had and certainly couldn't afford more there!!!! (at the time). So here we are, your 20 must keep you busy - it's worse than waiting for Christmas as a child waiting for the goats to kid - I still have 3 to kid too - check them 3 times a day to make sure there's nothing wrong or iffie, is she getting fatter today etc. For the uneducated what a PM - sorry to be so thick not joined any forums before. :-[
What shows do you go to - I was hoping to go to Turriff last year but was too late so would like to put the effort in this year.

PM is a personal message, but I haven't got around to it yet!

Although we have 20, it sounds worse than it is- I actually have only 5 adults and 4 newborn kids. But then my mum has 4 adults and 2 kids, my neices have 2 pregnant adults, and my boyfriend has 3 adults. So because everyone has some, it makes it a big herd! We go to a variety of shows, a few local agricultural shows, and also British Goat Society recognised shows from as far north as Inverness down to the north of England (occasionally!). We didn't manage to make it to the Black Isle last year, as it's mid week, its not always easy getting away from work. There are shows at Forfar both in May and August, and they have pygmy classes too.

Turriff is a great show, haven't been for about 10 years, when my mum last judged the goats. But my sister judged the goats at it last year as it happened. You should try and get along, although I warn you, showing is addictive!

Hi Beth - Will really try and get to a couple of shows this year - not sure my 'barrels' will get anything more than a giggle but I would love the experience - will try to be a bit more prepared than last year when it suddenly came and went.
