I didn't realise there was a variety that could be grown in the UK. Good luck with growing them and let us know how you get on. I might have a go myself if they work for you.

I grew them years ago with disappointing results, only one or two beans per pod. I dare say with new varieties you will get better crops. I may try again!

I'd see if you can find an arable farmer to talk to  for they would be best placed to tell you if they grow them in the UK . 

I have a feint memory from 30 odd years ago of one of my farmer pals...aka  Barry , saying that he was going to try it for cattle feed but that could have also meant him using the stalks as well as the actual bean & pod.
We've moved to several new homes since then , so I don't have contact with him on a day-to-day basis to check it out .

I tried them a number of years ago - not this variety - with no success.  It's possibly worth trying just a few first as an experiment before you commit to masses.

I agree. I am trying 3 wigwams of them, hopefully, next year in my warm conservatory.
