New to smallholding and don't have any pigs yet. I wondered if anyone on here, preferably in Aberdeenshire, is slaughtering a pig or pigs soon and has any for sale to help us fill our freezer. If not is tee a wholesaler or abattoir locally that will sell a pig at a reasonable cost until we get up and running. Any ideas would be great.

Fowlie in Strichen sell half pigs. Hybrids tho.

There was a post yesterday in the marketplace, auld cairnallochy has a kune kune ready for the abattoir.
We've had good pigs from him previously and they sound a perfect deadweight.
We use milkers at grantown on spey for our abattoir, who are good for private kills, and it may be possible for the seller to deliver there for you.
