Wanted: Incubator / hatcher
« on: May 26, 2015, 08:42:40 pm »

After another poor hatch due to bacterial contamination, and now faced with an incubator that smells like a week-old bag of fish guts, I'm considering buying a second one just for hatching!

Does anybody have a good one second hand? Capacity 20 hen's eggs minimum (e.g. Brinsea Octagon 20), must also be able to take goose eggs. Humidity readout a bonus but not essential. Turner not required. No R-com or other far eastern cr@p though, as I've done my hard miles with them already!

Anyhow, I just thought I'd ask on here before braving the likes of Ebay. Has anybody got one that they want an excuse to upgrade?

Hi Both,

Balloch - I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner - only just saw your reply.

I'm going to go with Dyedinthewool's kind offer of the Octagon though, since that matches what we already have, and will give us interchangeable spares etc.  Dyedinthewool - I'll send you a PM.

Thanks,

Womble.
