Nettles and sheep
« on: May 13, 2015, 07:10:31 pm »
We have an area of stinging nettles in our current sheep field that need strimming off. Can someone please let me know if it's OK to leave these on the ground for the sheep to eat, like we do for the horses, or should we rake them all up? Incase it's relevant, they are just 'mower' ewes, not sheep with lambs.
Thankyou for your help.

This link was at the bottom of your post about nettles, and has some good info/opinion on the subject

Where are you?  We're in Hampshire too, North near Tadley.

Thanks Princesslayer. I didn't see that! Good news then if the sheep will love them and one less job for me!
I'm near Overton.
