til next time
« on: February 02, 2010, 05:51:29 pm »
our friends came back home today from holidays,
which meant today was the last day for me feeding his pigs and other animals.
i have to say i loved it!!!
seeing those little piglets born!
rescuing one of his sheep was brill, i was so relieved to have gone home that
night knowing that sheep was ok,even better seeing her running round in the field next morn.
we only got 3 British saddleback pigs for own table, so feeding 150+ pigs for a week was
certainly a challenge!! but if he asked me to do it tomorrow again id jump at the chance!!!!! ;D :pig:

Langdon next time I go on holiday you can come and watch my crew. My sister does it and hates every second, she panics that something is going to happen to any of them. :)

I don't know about the rest of you but I find going on holiday very stressful. Getting the animals all sorted, I pay a friend to look after the ponies and feed cats and chickens. Dogs go to another friend who has kennels and she only charges me for the two big girls not my Jack Russell. I know they are well walked and given lots of care. I double check all fencing and make sure my electric fence is working. Water working to the fields. Then I do all the packing, deliver the dogs to my friend and what does my OH do, O, yes he drives the car while we are away  ;D :cat: :chook: :dog: :horse:
