winter jods/breeches?
« on: November 11, 2014, 09:51:48 pm »
Over the last couple of weeks I've had to chuck out 4 pairs of jods/breeches as they were past the point of repair. So I'm looking for a couple of new pairs and would like some warm ones for winter. Anyone got any recommendations? looking for warm, comfy, not too expensive and reasonably smart looking

Have you got a Mole Valley Farmer shop near you? They sell all things horsey at reasonable prices.

My other half got the Aldi summer ones and they are great (apparently).
I think the winter ones are in Alsi's at the moment.

If you're near Ammanford Claytons is in Pantyffynnon or you've got Charlies in carmarthen.

Wear a pair of tights underneath for warmth.

On the rare occasion that I do ride I don't bother with jods, I'd be wearing joggers  with jean jods over the top, mine are saddle master so yonks old xD

the best I ever found were Ariat Winter tights, got them 50% off, brand new from eBay. lightweight, warm and pretty wicking although not waterproof and they wash well and dry quickly. I practically live in them over the winter.
