Hey, Im new here to here goes!
Has anyone ever crossed a ryeland Ram to Hebridean? How did it go, i have this as an option this year coming, but dont want to do anything that would cause difficult lambing for the ewes.
The Heb's in question have always lambed themselves - Intervention has been limited to fighting the mothers to move from lambing area to field as they tend to just pop them out when your looking the other way.
Also if anyone has, how did the lambs grow? Were they any good as butchers lambs or kept as ewes in their own right?
The reason I ask is I have the option of a Ryeland Ram, and buying some ewes I've helped with, and I particularly like the look of Ryelands and Hebs!
