Mastitis update!
« on: August 14, 2014, 09:42:18 pm »
So yesterday I stripped her out abs got a huge amount of 'silly string' out but I think that was the drying off tube I'd used. The udder appeared slightly smaller so I jabbed her again, caught and stripped again today and the udder is smaller again and is warm but not hot! The skin seems looser but still a bit hard and lumpy!

I'm hoping this is a positive step!

Sounds very hopeful.  Keep up the good work.   :fc:

Last year we had some cow udder cream that smelt minty that we rubbed on as well, seemed to cool her bag down, she smelt good too!

My chiropractor uses that cream on her patients :o .  I don't think many of them realise what it is  :roflanim: :roflanim: but we had a laugh when I spotted it on the shelf.  Lovely stuff ;D

I use it on one of my goats as she has lumps in her udder (they are more or less permanent, she's an older lady), just have to be careful not to rub my eyes afterwards.....  :o :o :o I have learnt the hard way!

Udder mint! Lovely stuff and yes I've used it on her but god does it hurt if it goes near your eyes!
