Shall I laugh - or cry.
« on: August 11, 2014, 03:50:41 pm »
Not sure whether to be amused, or insulted.  For weeks, I have been getting messages from a man interested in my female Anglo Nubians.  He asks how much, I tell him, then hear nothing.  Then he asks again  (still same price).  This morning - wow!!  Message includes an offer for them both.  At least that's a step in the right direction, or it would be if the offer had not been so unbelievable low.  My priority is good homes - I have not met this man or spoken to him - it is more than likely he intends to get them and then sell them on.  I know once they are sold there is little I can do to stop this, but I would prefer to keep them until the right homes come along.

On the other hand, had a lovely message form someone who says they really want the two little girls, and are in the process of moving, and will hopefully have more land, and will get back to me then to see if they  are still available.

The first man doesn't sound at all trustworthy. He could even want them for slaughter. Hope the second person comes back to you.

How strange, have had yet another enquiry today for the two kids.  This was a lady, who  wants to start making cheese.  Hopefully she will make me a sensible offer..

I keep seeing ads for goats for sale  "ideal lawn mowers". They are NOT!!  Ideal hedge clipper, and fruit trees and anything else they spot, but not lawns ;D

We have had quite a lot of time wasters this year , loads when asked why they are looking to get goats they are saying they want them for weed control in the garden  ::) Needless to say they are sent on their way

I wish I had a pound for every time someone said, "Oh you don't need a lawnmower then." when told I keep goats in the garden.
