Hidden eggs!!!!
« on: November 23, 2009, 05:15:46 pm »
After posting we were still getting eggs, the hens are only 2-4 a day now...I bet I will find some more again when I get the rake out.....and what a suprise....I took Ben up the garden to let Islay eat her extra food in peace and found 44 Duck eggs hidden under the Holly bush, some covered over with leaves...it was Ben who found them for me otherwise I would not have noticed....TOmorrow I shall rake around to see if I can find anymore Hens eggs.......little  :&> :&> :&>Bu****s!!!!!

a bit risky in summer, i chucked a load away that i found, but winter might be ok, i break them into a glass first to check...... i once took some hard boiled eggs to work once for lunch, i peeled one and there was a fully formed chick inside.

Presumably you can test them same as hens eggs - put in a glass of water - if they float they are 'off'
