I agree with Callum about the test.

I did a test in a magazine when I was 32, and was told that only 2% of the United Kingdom Population had as high an IQ as myself, and would I like to sit a proper
Exam at Bradford University.

I sat the exam on a cold, Saturday morning, along with about 30 people of various ages, and we were not allowed to talk, and had a book-like exam, and the examiner gave you a
vertain time to complete the page, then told you to turn over and start the next page.

You were not allowed to turn back, even if you had time left at the end of the exam, the test was based on fast reaction to the questions.

I did the test on the PC as fast as I could and did not take much time over the answers, and so this would reflect in my answers.

Also my age would too, as I got 138 when I was 32, I would probably have a lower or much higher IQ now, dependant on my daily routine and if I stretch myself or regularly do things like studying, crosswords, and sequence tests.  If I did nothing, since I was 32, then this would reflect in my score, as I would not be keeping my brain agility "fit".

The reason why the exam sheets are timed, is because, with n=more time, everyone could work out the patterns and answers.

Plus it doesn't really prove anything - although I have found that people with higher IQ's tend to be like most of us on here:-

Not Sheep - Ask questions and question motives - like Rustyme and myself
Are Creative and Artistic - again Rustyme, Myself, Happy Hippy, Annie, Sandy Fluffy

I could go on, but the other common denominator is lifestyle choices too, we are all looking to be "different" again, not sheep, but looking at ways to improve the quality of our lives and not, say, work all our lives in a boring and repetitive job.

I think having a higher IQ gives you "more choices" in life, as you can project, see patterns and change things for the better if you want to.

Just my opinion, but Callum is right about the test - it should be longer, timed and make you move on to the nect question when time is up.

Never did the test, don't like that sort of thing...I worked with children, some could not read or even recognise letters and some would fly through every exam, even some went to Cambridge BUT, I saw them all to just have different talents. I measure success with happiness not intellect. I remember my Ex's Aunt, she led a very simple life and had her little routine and that made her happy, I envied her simplicity as the more intellect you have, the more you think about and create problems for yourself!!!!!!! Anyway.......I am very happy and not too unintelligent either
