well that was quick and painless.....
« on: June 15, 2014, 11:46:02 pm »
Daisy delivered in record time today, this is her 3rd kidding and I knew she was a bit off first thing when she wouldn't go out for breakfast and had to be fed on her own with a bucket, total diva!! Anyway 6pm she hunched up, water broke and ligaments were non-existant and twins delivered safely without anything but some gentle words of empathy by 6.24 pm, didn't even get time to get her in the kidding pen I'd made up for her, just dropped them on the spot! just aswell the it was nice day.

I did have to chuckle though, she's only had singles before so she didn't know who to deal with first. She would be washing one and the other would bleat and she 'd sort them out and then the 1st would bleat again, but she is an excellent mum though and we'll be able to keep the little white girl this year  :excited:

Good work, Daisy. They look gorgeous. What breed is the father? The one lying down in an interesting colour.
