I drove past this cottage yesterday and saw it was for sale.

Right underneath Conic Hill and a 2 minute walk from Loch Lomondside (just North of Balmaha Hill for anybody who knows the area).



Stunning potential for anybody looking for a smallholding, and a cottage I've long admired from a distance (though judging from the close-ups, this may well be the best way to view it  ). O/O £175K including just under 3 acres of land.

TBH Herdygirl, given the location, I'm surprised it's not priced at twice that. My gut feeling is that it will sell pretty quickly at that price, though I agree with you - house prices no longer have any connection to reality in the UK.

I'd have looked at it a few years ago but I need more than 3 acres by a long way, especially if it's grade 4..  Lovely area, but you'd want to put up a lot of secure fencing to keep out the walkers more than deer, Lomond is overrun with tourists who take right to roam a little to excess on occasion

If it is within the are of the National park you will struggle to put up any agri buildings, probably no polytunnel or similar... I don't think it's meant for smallholders somehow... commuting distance to Glasgow?
