Hey.....hi there
« on: October 22, 2007, 08:59:37 pm »
Hello to you all,
I stumbled on this forum while trying to find out what wormer I should use for our 2 goats, Fanny and Nell ( no, we are not planning to eat them!)

Dawn and I are both ITU nurses....or should say "were". We sold our house in South London, paid off the crippling debt and now live in a beautiful millers cottage in Moray in Scotland (North East Scotland). We have 3 1/2 acres to play with and at present are first aim is to regain some control of this land which appears to be mainly dock!!! We have goats and chickens and are pausing before we get too many more animals (oh....and we have siberian huskies that we race).

We are thinking (me mainly) of getting pigs to start to clear the land, which is a bit soggy in places ....any advice regarding a suitable breed would be gratefully received.

So......Hi.......

Welcome, both. I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions about pigs - Tamworths for me, but I'm biased. I don't find they clear docks though - our pigs pen is showing a nice new crop, now the pigs are off the land.

Hi Richard and Dawn

Did you get your pigs? Would love to hear about them if you did.

Do tell more about your Huskey racing.  That could be a section of it's own on here.

Talented animals?
