is boar fertile?

Ok. Got a rescue PBP boar castrated, nd a Mangalitza sow who's just 5 months old.  Was out the other day, got back to be told the boar was on the sow and 'fluid' was produced........HELP!!
I belive that seminal fluid is produced in prostrate, and sperm in testicles.......

I think you're right - even when vasectomised, fluid will be produced. I've seen castrated boars trying to do what their instincts tell them  ;) The difference will be in how the boar smells - if he's got 'lead in his pencil' there will be a very noticeable smell from him - musky, unmistakable boary smell.
I'd guess the gilt (not a sow til they've given birth) is coming into season and that's triggered him - keep an eye on her in around 3 weeks time just to check she does come back into season  :innocent: (although I think it would be fairly obvious with a pot if he did still have his testicles)

btw - OH reckons he wouldn't produce any fluid......but he is a man  ::)  :sofa:

Not all boars smell - none of our GOS has ever done so and they've certainly been fertile!
