Some new arrivals
« on: March 19, 2014, 11:11:29 pm »
Got to the farm on Monday morning to find we had two new little people waiting to say hello!!  Charlie had kidded overnight and had twins....as usual she had chased  one out of the pen, and he had got outside and was standing yelling.....yes, she who does not like males sussed out it was a boy.  Looked in the pen, and there was Charlie gazing adoringly at the other kid - but that's a male too.  Why she has chosen to look after this one is beyond me.  After 5 kiddings, and only one female among them, this is the first time she has cared for a male!!  She allows the other one in the pen during the day, but refuses to let him feed.  I tie her up, and he sneaks under for a crafty drink.  I take him home at night and he has a bottle then, and one in the morning.

Will try and take a pic, although they never stand still long  enough!!
