Khaki Campbell hatching eggs wanted
« on: February 28, 2014, 09:00:24 pm »
Hallo.  I'm looking for some good utility KC hatching eggs to put in our incubator to hatch at Easter.  You know, new life and all that.  I particularly want utility and not pretty ones for the high egg production.  Can anyone recommend somewhere.  Another thing, I will need them to be posted.
Thanks.

You get all sorts of hatching eggs on ebay - and just about anything else you could possibly think of  :D
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs

Thank you Goosepimple (cool name), but I understand that there are various strains (?) of Khaki Campbells, with very different laying potential, and therefore I am hoping someone has some personal experience and knowledge of where to get good utility strains.

Yes thanks and I'm cool too  :innocent:  more like  :cold:

We had KC's and they were excellent at egg laying, then we hatched (from ebay!) 2 white campbell ducks, lovely looking and they laid beautifully too.  Don't think you can go wrong with them.  Sadly all ours were taken by otter so we only keep Muscovy ducks now as they roost but aren't as good at the egg laying.
