For those interested in SAC courses in general - this was a Farmer day, and smallholders are always welcome at Farmer days! Lunch is included in those meetings which last most of the day, and the atmosphere is informal.
However, at some farmer days, some of the lectures may be detail-heavy for some hobby farmers/smallholders, so what I will try to do in future is to put up a short summary of what is on the agenda, so that people can judge more clearly how much of the material is of relevance to their own farm/smallholding.
So, for instance, smallholders today may have found the sections on health problems that can occur with ewes and lambs, how to prevent them, and what to do about worming around lambing time, of use. However, the nutrition section may have been more suited to advanced smallholders and farmers.
I believe that lunch was of use to everyone

I'll try to "rate" each free knowledge day produced by SAC Consulting/SRUC to let people know which bits are particularly smallholder friendly.
So far, I'd say any specific smallholder courses and all Lambing practical courses are pretty much suitable for everyone, beginner to advanced (there's always something more to learn) and any other Farmer days will be summarised for content - hope this helps!
