Hi, delighted to have found this website, looking forward to reading all the posts. I live in Perthshire and have recently bought a small minibus which will be my permanent residence shortly, currently defragging home as space in the bus is at a premium. I am getting off the hamster wheel, woohoo. My long term goal is to be off grid and self sufficient. It is a whole new chapter for me and would welcome hearing from those of you doing similar.

Hello and welcome.

Rustyme is your man for getting off grid. Because of the way he lives he isn't always around but pops up from time to time. He has some interesting tales to tell which I am sure you will enjoy.
Life is like a bowl of cherries, mostly yummy but some dodgy bits

Hi and welcome from Aberdeenshire

We certainly aren't off grid as we rely on OH's salary and he works from home as an IT person but we are trying to be as sustainable as possible and incorporate permaculture principles whenever we can.
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.
