Hmmm, interesting. I wonder what the tax rates are per country and if all workers pay this. And how much benefits  people get in comparison.

Vat here is 21% on most things and 10% on food. I have no idea re benefits as I claim nothing

If you then compare income tax rates, national insurance payments or health insurance payments, anyone earning less than £32,000 will probably be better off in the uk, add in all cost of livings like utilities, food, fuel, council tax, most of ours are more expensive though our earnings are higher it's only when you add in housing costs that we drop down the leader board very quickly as a country we have expensive housing.
