WANTED: pretty hens in Scotland
« on: July 25, 2013, 08:48:08 pm »
Being completely shallow but I would like two pretty and friendly hens for the farm. Would like eggs (obviously) but they don't have to lay a lot. I have two chocolate orps who I love but I don't really want another two massive hens!

Does anyone have:

Frizzle pekins
Pretty coloured pekins
Orpington bantams
Laced hens?

You get the picture! I like the rounds hens! And I'm not keen on polish frizzles (pompoms)

Any help would be much appreciated. Just been to Forfar Mart but I missed the first lots.

  :fc: and thanks!

whereabouts in Scotland? I might have a few chocolate Pekins available.
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.
