Well... Another odd day of things falling into place.
A while back I was asking for advice on trailers, as we needed a new one for moving the pigs in October. Hubby wanted a "multi purpose" one less, so most people suggested the Ifor Williams P6e.
We found out they don't seem to be easy to find second hand, so I've been keeping an eye out. We had resigned ourselves to having to buy one new and just get the basics.
Last night, I found a trailer on eBay. Only had a day left, but no-one had bidded. I watched it and went to bed. It was a three hour drive away, so I thought Hubby wouldn't be interested. Looked again this morning and still no bids... I persuaded Hubby that if we just put down the starting bid, we might get it and it was about £500 less than a new one. An hour and a half later, no-one else had bid. Paid for it, job done. Drove across to where it was and a lovely older lady came out. We chatted for a minute about what we would be using it for when she realised where she had recognised my name from. She had just written up the new members list for the Badger Face Welsh Mountain Sheep Society, which we had joined! She was so pleased when she showed us the trailer as it has a big society logo on it!
We ended up chatting for a while before starting our three hour trek home. The trailer has everything but a jockey wheel (it has the stand bar instead).
Isn't it strange how you get connected to people without even realising it!
