Our first time shearing the sheep - all went well, won our case at the planning committee despite refusal recommendation from planning officer, kitten came off the antibiotics and continues to do well, daughter's 15yr old car got through its MOT and only needed oil change and brake pads replacing, lump on dog's tail is nothing to worry about according to the vet and mother's dicky ticker isn't that dicky after all - test results proved it.  All in all, have had a very positive week!
(Listed in order of event, not priority  :) )
Doing that swan thing - cool and calm on the surface but paddling like crazy beneath.

My drunken staff involved in last weekend's stabbing were not reported in the paper today, the neighbouring school has lent his HR lady to help with some other rotten staffing issues, I have woven my first overshot pattern (cats paws and snail trails) and it looks good, and biggest good news this week, Eric the littlest and shyest pygmy goat now stands (a bit nervously but still) for stroking

Fixed the strimmer, so could tidy up the place!  Built the pig ark and got the water, electric and fencing put up.  Got our herd number through and registered on eAML2 ready for this weekend!  :pig: :pig: :pig:

Weeded the main garden and filled the wheelie bin to overflowing  :excited:

Had a meeting with my union colleagues and gave one of them her sending off as she was made redundant in March (but missed our meeting due to family matters). She was given a lifetime membership award for her work and a disco ball!

My lovely 6 year old grand daughter passed her Grade 3 swimming yesterday with me watching as her Mum had to take the other two to a school concert - she's the youngest in the class by a year and a half!  She got a very special treat when I got her home.  A really think Lego sticker book, and an extra before bed sweet treat

Managed at long last to find some veg plants as my seeds had failed - only dwarf beans and mange tout and coloured lettuce but it backs up what I've managed to grow.  Found a nice bright paint for the shed roof as a suggestion from my son instead of trying to put roofing felt back on - job for the weekend if it stays dry is to seal the apex then paint. And if it is still dry on Sunday the grandkids will be over to paint the wendy house.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

I got a letter from Animal Health granting a holding number for the village Gala field - so we can take one of our cows and her calf to the gala.

The kiddies will love them - Bonnie is very pretty and her little boy Deagan is the cutest thing on 4 hooves (well Bonnie & I think so)

I started my diet in earnest last Sunday and haven't cheated once, so I feel good about myself. Was also able to announce my pending grandmotherdom.(Not a word yet, but it sounds good!) So if both of those aren't reasons to celebrate, I don't know what are!!!
