Pedigree British Saddleback sow, Ivy line, 3 years old, excellent mother to 3 successful litters.  Quiet, gentle and good natured, conceives and farrows easily and produces masses of milk.   She is still feeding current litter who will be weaned on 17 June 2013, so available 2 weeks later from 1 July 2013.


Very reluctant sale but we are having to close down due to costs, poor health (ours) and other factors.  We  have had her since 8 weeks old and desperately want to find her a good new home with lots of space, other pigs and caring owners.

Isn't there anyone out there who would consider taking on our lovely sow?    Could help with transport if that is an issue.    She has lots of life and fertility left, and will unquestionably produce dozens more piglets in the future.  It would be a tragedy if we had to turn her into sausages, but that will have to be her destiny if we cannot find her a new place to live.    Do please ask around - not everyone reads TAS and I'm going to try and remain optimistic the right person will make contact eventually.
