Quince problem
« on: June 04, 2013, 09:45:43 am »
My 2 quince trees were planted about 4 yrs ago in my orchard. But every year they get a rust, they will loose all their leaves and then re-grow and loose them again in the Autumn. last yr, strangely< they only lost the leaves once in the Autumn but still had the rust, just not quite so bad.

I have tried Winter wash and even a fungicide- even though I like to garden organically but neither made any difference.

The biggest fruit I have had off them was marble sized and that was last yr.

I have just been out to the orchard and once again they are showing signs of rust! Anyone have any ideas?? If they get it again this yr I think i may dig them up and re plant! ???
