pump for pond?

hi i need some advice regarding water pumps. im looking to pump water from our stream to a pond im building for the geese. the stream is about a metre bellow the level of the pond and about 10m away.

do you just want it to occasionally top the pond up up or to provide a continuous flow?


do you have mains power available for it?

any small submersible pump that connects to a regular hose should do hozelock make some good ones that are fairly cheap.


i build ponds and garden water features hence my over fascination with pumps!!!

i say stream but its a glorified drainage ditch. and its only a temporary relocation as the pond will drain back to the stream.
