I was always told safe to graze two to three weeks after using an inorganic compound fertiliser  (i.e. 20:10:10 or the like)  -  two weeks if it's had some rain on it. Hope that helps

I've just been informed that it was done with straight nitrogen 34.5% so it's not a compound fertiliser.
Does that make any difference?

I always leave fertilised fields empty for a minimum of 2 weeks. 3 even better. No matter what it was fertilised with.

If you were spreading FYM or slurry, how long would you leave it?  We have not been able to get machinery onto the fields, is it too late for spreading now?

Whether straight Nitrogen or a compound 2- 3 weeks fine - though as a side comment I would say 34.5% Nitrogen will promote rather lush grass - not ideal for sheep - better for cattle grazing or haylage etc . Not to worry though, I'm sure your grass could do with a boost. I know mine does.
