That was pre-lambing prolapse - the sort that starts with just a golf- ball sized prolapse when she's lying down, anything up to a month before lambing, and progresses over a day or two to grapefruit size out all the time.  I would normally cull for this but this was an exceptionally good ewe for conformation, mothering ability and producing twin ewe lambs so I decided to give it a try - before there was any sign of a prolapse.  I put 15ml of Calciject into her every week and she was fine.  I've never had a ewe prolapse after lambing - I think if I did it would definitely go straight to cull.
