Ready to give up ... not on your life!
« on: February 16, 2013, 08:00:59 pm »
  Okay rubbish weather  :raining: :raining: :raining: :raining: . I hate mud  >:(   >:(   >:( . BUT today our Gloucestershire Old Spot  - Peggy was soaking up the  :sunshine: :sunshine:  and can you blame her. She farrowed 3 days ago - her piglets are a cross berkshire - all doing well. Here is a pic of Peggy - the other great thing is that Dad is my favourite Berkshire boar "Lucky" who was very ill last summer and we thought we would loose him. :relief: .

Peggy looks very content there. And what a spotty bunch of babies she had,  :pig:   I wouldn't have guessed they were hers  :D

Thanks Mammyshaz -  A friend of ours has had their Berkshire sows in pig ( accident ;D ) by their GOS boar - it will be interesting to see how they turn out - ie more GOS or Berkie. This x is a first for us - just glad that the boar is working again.

My husband has nicknamed this litter of ours "the Friesian 9"

I love Peggy's face
Nelson can I ask a favour? I want to do some painting/drawings of pigs, so would it be okay to use the above photo?  :fc: Only asking as at some point would like to get cards made and do not want to upset anyone ;)
Oh and lovely piglets too

Lovely results all round!

My pigs were doing a bit of sunbathing yesterday too. Wish I'd gotten the camera out!
