Land for sale, near Edinburgh
« on: January 10, 2013, 11:04:02 am »
Browsing and saw this and thought it might be interesting for someone on TAS. 4.5 acres, close to a big potential market. Relatively modest capital outlay (for the area) with potential. I don't suppose you HAVE to build a 5 bedroom house.

Yes, but that would cost you not a lot more than £150K and you'd have a superb place to live for £250K.  Check it out on Google.  I'd love it.

So would I but just checked my purse and I've only got £2.  Do you think they'll take a deposit and let me pay the rest of at a £1 a week?

I think you've misread that - they are offers over £195.000 each. Plus £150.000 for your house? And I'm sure they'll go for a lot more, what with those kind of employers in the area...

There are some plots being sold near, just off the roundabout and I would love one of those, never understand what they are actualy selling, I suppose the plans are already drawn up and passed but do they pay for the services etc??
I have seen several houses with a bit of land for sale, they are not far away but not near train links and a bit off the beaton track, they I have to put some brain in place as I love being able to walk to a shop or a bus, too far off the beaton track would posibly be a bad idea as I age...I will have nothing to do so be on here even more :innocent: Oh, we have someone very very interested, just depends on price etc, the house I loved has now been sold but there are loads I love out there, cannot waite to get house shopping again!!

I don't know what the local plan is but it's always worth checking it out to see in which direction the council is allowing future development, we won't be in a recession forever (or....)
