It's expensive compared to woodland in Scotland.  £35000 gets you 8 acres in Central Scotland. But no business other than woodland, no buildings except stores, occasionally some allow  a caravan but not for permanent use.  I've thought about it a few times as a training/weekend area for my dogs, but not yet got round to doing anything about it - www.woodlands.co.uk

Some woodland was up for sale here, and that was £120,000 for quite a few acres, in a much sought after area.  I thought that was expensive, but it sold.  It has quite a few footpaths and a bridleway through it too.
Some people are happy to pay a good price it seems.

Woodlands.co.uk have a fixed price policy.  The area mentioned of 8.5 acres for £35,000 has shooting rights included.  Some others I saw on there had fishing rights.
