Theft of Sheep]
In the past month sheep have been stolen from Ryedale, Pickering, Austwick & Arncliffe in Craven, and Preston Under Scar near Leyburn. Please be vigilant for any transport vehicles parked near livestock after dark as it would be unusual for farmers to move livestock at night. Ring Police on 101 if you see suspicious vehicles parked up or 999 if you suspect a theft is actually in progress
