Are black widows deadly? (Cant get the link up to read it). I quite like spiders. My friend breeds tarantulas, which surprisingly are very tame, gentle and fragile.

yeah black widow are fatal but the ones mentioned are false black window which are just very nasty and can give you a real bad reaction.
