Music While You Milk?
« on: August 03, 2012, 08:19:58 pm »
Just wondering if others have music playing while you milk.
OH got me a mobile phone with a contract which I never liked (HTC wildfire), so I kept using my old flip up type. OH was suppose to return new one but didn't.
18 month later I decided to take it out of it's box - it's very good music machine and camera.
So I loaded some orchestral music and play it while I'm milking,
Borzhak 9th seems to be the Hovis advert, maybe they dream about the bread while they listen ;D
one goat is completely different, after struggling to get the milk out of her it now almost flows out, might try some Strauss next, hope she doesn't waltz off the bench!

We play classic FM to our horses if they need calming in the stables e.g. if there is a shoot on or bonfire night.  Works a treat.
Like that your milk yield has increased  :goat: :)
Doing that swan thing - cool and calm on the surface but paddling like crazy beneath.

Same here, except I turn it off for lunchtime feeding as I cannot stand (and that is putting it mildly) Jeremy Vine (or whoever sits in for him)  :P ...

Although for kidding I use BBC 3, but it is not great reception.

My goats listen to Radio 4 all day - they are highly informed about current events, political crises, financial shenanigans, and The Archers.  I'd love to know what they think...

Radio 2 for the horses, but I might have to have classic fm for goats. That is if I can get any reception.

Mine like the Pogues ;D
We'll turn the dust to soil,
Turn the rust of hate back into passion.
It's not water into wine
But it's here, and it's happening.
Massive,
but passive.

Bring the peace back
