Morning all,

( the gulf stream not moved yet)
we adopted 6 warrens about 4 monthes ago and they are now fully integrated with our layers-
we were trying to sex our new chicks- some have tiny bumps where spurs are and we were

that these must be the boys

, I picked up one of these layers and looked to see if they have bumps
well this adult girl had huge spurs (never noticed before even tho' they come for cuddles on my lap!)
in fact her 'spur' is bigger than Jim our cockeral
am i seeing things or do hens have spurs- not sure why only she has them- she is still laying tho'
