Hello peeps,

I was wondering if anybody out there knows how to wash goose feathers? I can't seem to find anything on the web. I need to wash the feathers and the down.

Anyone know???

Seriously,unless they are covered in bodily fluids,then they only need hanging in a cotton/breathable bag for a couple of weeks in a cool dry place. Give em a shake every now and then to mix them up. After a couple of weeks the smell will have dissipated and you can get stuffing..... Ree

Really? They don't need dissinfecting? If that's true then thats amazing! I thoughht that i would have to wash them in some kind of special way. I've literally just plucked them, some have bodily fluids on though. What do I do with the dirty ones.

I'd put them in a breathable,but a secure bag,and tumble dry them on the highest heat for at least an hour..... don't know what else to suggest other than pick through the whole lot pulling out the dirty ones......... Ree
