Hi Rosemary, Mum is a first cross retriever and dad is a true collie,
retriever + collie = Gollie

Nooooo!
A Golden Retriever to a Collie is a Gollie!  Is Mum a pedigree Golden Retriever?  or is she a crossbreed?  If she is a cross breed the pups are not Gollies.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

They are in deed!  What is Mum?  If she is say golden retriever to labrador retriever cross, your pups could be rollies!  They look 'rolly pollys' anyway  ;)  ;D ;D ;D

Mum's mum was a pure bred golden retriever who was unfortunately mated with an english springer spaniel ( she was raped). Mum is a black retriever,
Dad is a pure bred Border Collie,
Pups, hybrids, gollies, or just sheer unadulterated mongrel, we love them to bits.

We are unsettled with a name for the wee girl, hubby wants "Emma" after great great grandmother "Emma" who was also pure bred golden retriever,
I like Shan, but hubby not keen.

All or any suggestions welcome for the wee girl, boys are Rhum & Gunna and no arguments there.
 :)

A man in the vet's tonight had 6 Lhasa Apsos - 6 weeks old. THey were just gorgeous. They were asleep in the puppy cage, in a heap, and were just wakening and yawning. They were just lovely.

Odd what people do, isn't it?  A vet is the last place I'd take 6 week old pups

At 6 weeks? I doubt it, too young.

earliest for jabs is mostly 10 weeks these days, occasionally soem vets start tehm at 8 weeks.  Silly place to take pups of that age - can pick up all infections.
