God what a day, finished work at 5pm drove the few miles to the farm for feeding the pigs.Just changed out of my wellies, the phone rings its my other half "can you bring the spare heat lamp" why i asked her (thought the lamp over the week old chicks on the dining room table had packed in) well she said the 10 ross cobbs outside are soaking wet as the roof is leaking. So along with the spare lamp i get home,3 of the wettest birds are in a cage on the table, she put the other 7 in a unused rabbit hutch. Now all 10 have been put in a large dog crate and stinking the dining room out,got the lamp on and they are drying out.Thank god for a Mrs that cares and a spare heat lamp, ive fixed the leaking roof and got all of the water out, roll on morning cant stick this smell another night :-J

Poor chooks, but  as you say for a missus who cares more for the wet birds than the smell in the house  ;D
