Yes give up resisting - they are such a joy

They are by far my favourite animal on the smallholding - can watch them for hours and hours.

We have two pairs of Buff Orpington Ducks (male and female pairs) coming up for sale (currently 28 days old) if anyone is interested  :)

Chris

Any advice I give is purely based on my experience .... It may not be from 20 years of farming or a book I have read .... however it has worked for me.

Well done, it always seems nicer when it's an extra you might not have taken otherwise!

For those other people that are resisting ducks...  ;D   Just go & get some, we were only going to keep a few aylesbury's for the freezer but now have muscovy & mallard & I can't wait to get more... Ducks are great :&>
Sheep: North Ronaldsay & 4 Horned Hebridean - We also breed & exhibit 3 breeds of rabbit - Chinchilla, Deilenaar (rare breed) & Colour Pointed English Angora.

Oh well done Brucklay that 's really great, wish I'd entered the Border Union Show this year with the ducks, we have some beauties born early this year.  I must do it next year.  Well done.
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
