i discovered this site by accident while rechecking auction sale reports
i could not believe how inaccurate and way of the mark some advice had been       both Lillian and myself were in stitches with some of the posts
it was one of these situations either come on and impart what we know  which is supposed to be  the whole point of the forum is it not      or leave you all to bumble you way on
i did use the smileys but was vilified for there use so don't use them now
this has been simmering below the surface for over 9 months betwean Karen and myself  and what kicked it of i will keep to myself to respect her wishes at the time but her e mails have been kept
this latest incident with the weights stems from a previous post were Karen claimed the weight of some piglets when i questioned her weights  she sent me a e mail stating she misread the scales and the true weights were half of that posted  to the best of my knowledge that post had not been rectified but i have the e mail
the thread with the weights that caused this huge rift      Karen referred back to her previous weights and well the rest is histoy
i will not be crawling over broken glass neither will i be apologising  or sending flowers
as i see it i was preventing others from being missled on weight gains which afterall is the whole point of fattening pigs
i could post and lock it but that is just not me   so i will let it run
but remember with any car accident there is three versions    Karen's version my version and what really happened :farmer:

It's important to get all sides of a story. I'm glad you came on and put yours.

Me too. I have always got on with Karen very well and I hope with you too Robert.

Whatever has gone on with you and Karen really isn't my business! There's people on here who irritate me and I should have used the ignore button soon as it came out  ;)

I think this is maybe a private matter ...... better to sort between the individuals concerned ...... could make matters worse by making it a public enquiry. Things have obviously been said not just on the forum so I think that makes it a bit different and it is beginning to have an unpleasant feel.

Hope you can both stay on the forum and maybe use the ignore button. Don't know either of you personally but do enjoy your posts.

Aint that the truth :)

I hope things can be...amicable at least :)

I know nowt about pigs and have never laid eyes on either of you, but we all need experienced folk on board to listen/advise (I learn a lot from seeing experts disagree too)

Funny, I was starting to feel a bit sorry for Robert, who's a really nice bloke who knows lots and also happens to have a wonderful wife in Lillian. So please don't let affection for Karen turn into a a witchhunt.

I wuv you, Robert  :eyelashes:

Just my 2 pennyworth as I don't know either party so am sitting totally on the fence. The trouble with forums or text messages of any kind is the fact that they are totally emotionless. I know you can use smilies but they account to nowt if the tone you are reading it in is cross/insulting to start with. If Robert and Karen were having their discussion face to face there would be facial expressions and tones to soften the words that can look so hateful when written.

I read the post about pig weights and honestly didn't get the impression Robert was trying to be nasty, I also thought the whole thing came across as quite an amicable argument. The trouble is, once someone feels that they are being singled out for criticism then everything will feel like a personal punch.

I really hope this can be sorted out between the two parties involved and that we can get back to being the one big happy family that TAS is all about

Come on guys, sort it out!!

Robert - please stop being an objectionable sod, or at least learn to type tactfully! (oh look! a flying GOS!  ;D ).

Karen - you've met Robert both online and offline, and you must know what he's like by now!  ::)   He is a decent bloke though, and means well. The forum would be much the poorer were either of you to leave, so I do hope you can patch things up, or at least manage some mutual ignoring I suppose!!
