Tow ball advice?
« on: May 03, 2012, 05:07:16 pm »
HI all, very excited to have purchased an old caravan(30 yrs) off ebay (as a spare room - cheaper than an extention!) - only trouble is it has a greased hitch and we have a dry (alko) tow ball (becasue of our previous newish caravan).  My question is does it matter /are they differnt apart form the grease bit.  We dont need to keep it 'dry' as we sold that caravan.  Many thanks, Fi

will the caravan have a 50mm hitch there are stories of old imperial ones detaching at roundabouts  your hitch/tow ball will be stamped with 50mm on the top :farmer:
