Can't believe how cold it is for May. My veg plot is now well behind what it should be but my farmer friend has assured me that June will be great. Fingers crossed he is right.

Let's hope so  our house is beginning to resemble a jungle with all the potted plants now bursting to be planted out when the weather warms.

Yes please for some warmer weather.  Actually yesterday was nice here and it made such a difference. Today its back to rain and cold  :(

Its putting everything behind. OH hasn't been able to finish the piggies pen and they were due to arrive on Sat. I have now put that off until Monday to give him a fighting chance of completing before they get here.

The haar we've been getting off the east coast has lifted today so it's brilliantly sunny, but still a bit cold in the easterly wind.  Frost forecast for Friday night, so all the plants I'm hardening off in the front garden will have to come back indoors - won't be any room for us.  Then there's all the plants up in the polytunnel which will have to be protected too.  It's a nerve wracking time of year  ;D
A bit of sunshine does make all the difference - I hope you all get some soon

I've only just started sowing indoors to plant out at the end of May, I don't think it's going to be any good sowing outside yet :(

Think I'll hibernate.

Can hardly see out of our dining room window for French bean plants on the sill.

We have snow forecast for Sunday, lovely!! Supposed to be helping at a One day event, mmmm maybe I will plead too much after my recent operation and abandon OH to sit in the Landrover all day making small girls cry when he has to disqualify them for 3 refusals or smacking their pony too much....:-)) :horse:

Just wet here.  Wet, wet and more wet.  I think my chickens might develop webbed feet.

He He HE ....weve had hot very hot and nice and warm for the last week or so.....infact I could do with some of the promised rain I forgot to swich off the watering system for the veg patch and it has emptied the water tank rather more than I wanted for the time of year......Wed's ; thunder storm only gave things a little drink they need a good soak (I dont want the cold though had a cold spell at the start of May a couple of years back which resulted in an extreenly poor crop of apples!)
