Morning everyone, well i decided yesterday I am going to give it a try and hatch my own pekin lavender hens as i think this would be a very exciting experience for all the famliy.
My next delema is what incubator is best just for a small amount of eggs, i have had a look online but they are very expensive just for a one time experience.

Does anyone have one for sale?

No sorry, but have you thought about buying in a broody hen?

I am not sure how well this works or what problems can be encountered but I have seen broodies for sale. If you are interested in peekins I know that they usually go broody quite frequently during the spring and summer so if you bought in an adult hen she would probably go broody and sit your lavender eggs for you.

Do you know anyone nearby who would let you borrow their incubator?

Just some thoughts.

We have lots of peekins including lavenders. They are lovely little hens and such good broodies.

Hi,

If you are interested we have one that we are looking to sell. It is a BRINSEA Octagon 20 advance incubator with cradle and humidifier. It is the same as eBay Item number 280858126963 except we have the humidifier as well (that appears not to be included on the eBay one) making ours fully automatic.  We did our research and believed this to be the best available.

It was also purchased last year and is in absolutely immaculate condition, still fully boxed with all instructions.  We have used it once to hatch hen eggs and once to hatch friends duck eggs and on both occasions all fertile eggs hatched. We also have an Brinsea Egg Candling Lamp.
