so whats the difference between Noromectin and Panomec (except the price !!)
we always used panomec for our pigs as thats what the vet said to use. but i see noromectin is almost 2/3rds cheaper.
is there much difference in what  they do?

both products are licencesed for pigs you would need to get the spec sheet and compare like for like and dosage per unit cost :farmer:

Both deliver the recommended level of 300 mcg ivermectin per dose and both require 1ml of solution per 33kg of bodyweight - so I don't know  :-\
Here's links to Panomec http://www.bestpet.co.uk/detailed_product.asp?id=68657 £25.30 for 50ml or
here's one to noromectin http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Noromectin-Multi-Injection-50ml/productinfo/NOROMECINJ50/ £14.65 for 50ml - I don't see any immediate differences Julia, I've not used panomec myself so don't have any of the data sheets lying around to check against the noromectin, sorry!

Both are Ivermectins and look like the same thing, quite often there are loads of brands of meds that are all the same generic medication, in the veterinary practice where I work different companies offer us their own branding of the same medication and each one can differ quite drastically in price- just check the data sheet for each  :)

 :o :o :o Eeeek, your vet's just a wee bit more expensive then  ::)
I'd been buying wormers etc mostly on-line too (fearing asking my vet for prices for the same reason  ;)) but I'm lucky that mine are similarly priced to on-line suppliers.
