it is a bit long in the tooth at 7 years old
i doubt she will get it sold at the asking price given the price of pigs cast boars are 90pence to £1 a kilo dead weight so that could be your starting offer
why not get a young boar it has all its life ahead of it :farmer:

No way is he worth that. One of my boars is 7 and has just started firing blanks so I would say yours won't be far behind.
£300 would buy you a very good boar with 7 years in front of him not behind. ;)

I'm with BB and Robert on this, at 7 (harsh as it sounds) he's not worth investing £300 in  :-\
You could go back with a counter (lower) offer but I'd be tempted to buy a youngester and start afresh

Don't be tempted to buy this boar, quite frankly at 7 years old he is very nearly passed it, invest in a young boar proably get a young boar cheaper than the £300 and all his working life in front of him.

Agree with everything said above.   There are some very good young boars out there and £300 is megga expensive for a 7y.o.

We have just bought a proven two year old pedigree saddleback boar for 150 quid. Came from a very well looked after herd and very experienced breeders. Obviously you cannot produce a two year old pig for 150 quid but there are market forces at work.
