So true, a fox will take your hens if they can get at them, and not only at night, they come to take hens/birds etc in broad daylight, your hens will be an attraction to them...I have a high wall surrounding my garden but still not 100% safe as birds of pray also take hens (not that often though) A fox can cut through a thick wire also...its very sad to see your birds scattered around with heads missing etc....mine have never been taken but many other hen keepers have....Mr & Mrs Fox also like new born lambs sadly!! When you are not around to watch them, they probaly need putting in a double wire enclosure!!!!! Just be prepared its a hard and expensive lesson to all hen keepers!!
