pig in heat
« on: March 14, 2012, 08:59:01 pm »
my sister was given a pig a few weeks ago. having absolutely no previous experience it was frightening how she became a jekyll and hyde character. she was determined to get to my brother-in-law, throwing large farm gates off their hinges, breaking fencing and even chasing him when he was on the quad through several fields. will this be 'normal' behaviour every 21 days, can anything be given to calm her down when she is in heat?

a pig as in only one   then that is what is wrong  the pig is gouping for it and that is the reason she is chasing your brother in law      get her an equal sized pal as soon as   then again her behaviour is maybe why she was given away :farmer:

Yup.  She needs a friend.  Get her a female pal.  Pigs get bored and lonely.

Pigs should ALWAYS have the company of another pig. Please get her a friend asap.  :pig:  :pig:
